And it’s finally break time

This week was Common Test week. Everything went fine, I guess.

My first paper was last Friday, it was theory paper for Fundamental Nursing Skills. It should have went fine but my teacher has hinted to us that we have not done as well we could have. So, I am definitely feeling worried about that. 😱

Then, this Monday was Math. It was really bad. I did not have enough time. So, I just gave answers for the last questions without any working. I hope that I can pass at least because I do not want to any retest.

On Tuesday was the practical paper for Fundamentals Nursing Skills. I was so nervous that I skipped a few steps. I was supposed to do hand washing and blood pressure taking. The hand washing part went fine but the blood pressure part is where I screwed up. I was supposed to do hand rub with alcohol solution at 3 different times during the procedure but I only did it once. But, the examiner told me I passed. Phew! 💨

Wednesday, was Biology paper. The most nerve wrecking paper which I was expecting but I studied throughly and it did not feel so nerve wrecking. On the day of the paper, the class turned up at the venue on time only to see that there was no one there and the place was entirely empty. So, we had to wait for the lab technician to open up the place and set up tables and chairs.

During the reading time, all of us realized that we had a missing page 6. So, now, the lab technician had to go and photocopy the missing page for us. The paper was so confusing. There was a question asking to name the brain regions. But the description was given as the specific function for each brain lobe. But I went ahead and gave the name of brain regions. Then, towards the end, I see that the arrow is pointing to a specific brain love but the question is phrased ” name the brain region”

I was in such a fix so I went ahead and gave the specific names instead of region. I decided that if I was wrong, I would go and talk it out with Dr Tan.

Thursday, was the last paper. It was for Basic Nursing Sciences. I had not studied so much for it but I still managed anyway. It went well.

And yesterday I was working because my uncle had a doctors appointment so I helped my mum out at the shop. Surprisingly, I was not at all tired when I got back home. I don’t know why but I didn’t feel tired

It’s Saturday today and so far, my day is going all well and relaxed.

Is it holiday time yet?

This week has been a little chaotic. My aunt gave birth. And I am a cousin sister again!! This week was also the last week of lessons. Common Tests start next week and frankly, I am looking forward to the holidays. The holidays this time are only 2 weeks, so I may not be working most days. I want to stay home and do some baking. It’s been such a long time since I did some baking.

Friday, is the day when I always wake up early for school. And I get to see the sunrise on Fridays but this week the sunrise got blocked by the clouds so I felt dejected for it would have been quite a sight to watch.

And for badminton, I am getting better although when I look at others play, I feel like I can do better. And I had my first CT paper on Friday. It was the theory paper for Fundamentals Nursing Skills. The paper was basically good. Not too difficult. Hope I score well for it!

Today is December 13 and its Taylor Swift’s birthday 🎉🎊🎈🎉🎊🎈

I can’t believe that she is 25 years old today. I really cannot. It just feels like yesterday when I first had her song ‘love story’, in 2008. And so much time has passed since then! I am so happy for all that she has achieved so far. And I am already looking forward to her next album.

And basically, I need to study now. So, yeah

This week has been going well. Of course, the normal stress from school will be there.

I am enjoying the cooling weather that is going on in Singapore. It seems very relaxing and cosy. My friend who is vacationing in China says that the temperature there is 5 degrees Celsius. That is really cold. Brrrrr!

My mum got certified as an official Bach Flower Remedy Practitioner. Bach Flower Remedy was discovered by Dr Edward Bach and it is basically using the healing powers of flowers to treat different emotions. I tried a remedy called Oak with a mixture of Rescue Remedy. Oak is to remove fatigue from a hard day’s work, while rescue remedy is to ‘rescue’ you from your negative emotions. And it worked well, I wasn’t tired despite only getting 5 hours of sleep.

Also, this week I played Badminton after what seems like a billion years. I am technically the worst player of the lot. But, for the next 3 weeks I am going to be focused on becoming better. I think I may have overexerted myself that is why when I left school I had a muscle cramp. I went NEX after school to settle my iPad issue. My mum got mixed up with the accounts and actually terminated my account. So, now, we had to reconnect the account.

After we were done, she left for work and I went shopping. I bought a polka dot shirt from H&M and headed home.

I am currently about to start on school work and do some revision.
